Enterprise Grants

Grant funding deployed through IMOs to frontline charities and social enterprises. Ideal for intermediaries with strong community relationships and an existing pipeline of early-stage enterprises needing non-repayable support.

Best for: Grant-makers with community-embedded pipelines

Includes: Capacity building support to target enterprises

Other & Bespoke

We welcome innovative proposals that don't fit neatly into the above categories. If you have a creative approach to deploying capital into BEM communities, we want to hear about it.

Best for: Innovative intermediaries with specialist approaches

Includes: Thematic or sectoral proposals welcome

Blended Finance

A combination of grant and repayable finance, allowing IMOs to structure deals that match the needs of investment-ready social enterprises. Requires co-investment partnerships and a pipeline that can absorb repayable capital.

Best for: Social investors with co-investment relationships

Includes: First-loss or guarantee structures possible

Co-funding & Leverage

  • Pathway Fund expects intermediaries to bring or attract co-funding alongside our investment.

  • The target leverage ratio is £1 from Pathway for every £1 to £2.50 from other sources.

  • This is not a rigid threshold; we assess co-funding intent and pipeline strength, not just confirmed commitments.
